Description: (1819-1893) USMA 1842. The supposed
"Father of Baseball" who was part of Fort Sumter's
garrison during the outdreak of the Civil War, and the
Army of the Potomac 1st Corps commander after John
Reynolds was killed July 1, 1863 during the battle of
Gettysburg.
