Full Name: Thomas P. Alexander (ca. early 1864)

Rank: Pvt. Co. I, 11th Indiana (Wallace Zouvaes) Vols.

Description/History:
Oval chest up pose showing Alexander who enlisted
August 31, 1861 wearing the distinctive zouave
uniform of the regiment. He served throughout the
war with the regiment, and re-enlisted as a veteran
volunteer on February 1, 1864. In 1865, he was
commissioned an officer in the regiment, and was
mustered out of the army at Baltimore during July 1865.
Period ink inscription on the verso:
“Thomas P. Alexander, Co. I., 11th Ind. V. V. Infty”.
