Description/History:
Crisp full standing Napoleonic style pose showing Blunt
who was a Jayhawker in James Lanes Kansas Brigade
before the war. Promoted brigadier general in early 1861,
Blunt fought combo commands of Native Americans,
and Confederates throughout the Civil War.
Appointed commander of the Department of Kansas,
he pursued the Confederate forces after their defeat at the
battle of Westport, Missouri in 1864.
